For Schools and Districts
Happy and productive teachers and students will always
result in an enhanced learning experience for students,
more learning and better grades. We strongly believe
that the EduTone will go a long way to help achieve this
in any school district, large or small.
Not only that, but EduTone will also reduce the costs of supporting students
and teachers as well as the costs of providing them with the applications, tools
and content they need for teaching and learning.
For teachers and students, EduTone provides an easy and quick way to access all
applications, tools and content they need for teaching and learning. EduTone
makes it easy because they only have to remember one names and password to access
all of their teaching and learning tools. EduTone makes it quick because all
applications are just a single click away. They are all available from one “widget”
we call the passport. What’s more, access is no longer restricted to the school. Access
is available from anywhere where they can access the Internet.
The Passport is configured differently for different students and even different
teachers. Depending on the role of the teacher (executive, principal, elementary,
middle or high school) and the grade of the student (K-12), the passport will
only display the applications, tools and content that is relevant to them.
For the IT Department, perhaps you have minimized the
number of applications you want teachers and students
to access because of the support nightmare. Creating
and distributing accounts in each application, updating
these accounts at the end of each year because of student
and teacher movement, dealing with an increasing number
of calls to set and reset passwords. It’s no wonder the
IT Department’s budget is never enough and teachers and
students are forever complaining about the lack of personal
service they feel they are entitled to have.
EduTone will bring unheard of efficiencies to the IT
Department’s ability to support teachers and students. Using
existing systems such as the SIS, the HR and The LDAP,
the EduTone Xchange taps into already existing and well
maintained data together with policies that determine
who accesses what, to create and manage the accounts
for teachers and students in the applications, tools
and content that they should access. The Xchange
also create a Single Sign On account or will use their
existing network accounts for teachers and students so
that they can access all these applications, tools and
content with one set of credentials.
For the district or school, as an organization, the efficiencies and savings that the EduTone Xchange bring will allow you to spend more of your budget to purchase more content, more applications and more tools that are needed by your teachers and students without the fear of the support implications.
